Why It's a Deal A recent Kayak search shows the lowest round-trip airfare between Washington, D.C. (Dulles) and Guatemala City starts at $551 in early April (United Airlines). Add to that $85 per person without taxes for two nights at Hotel El Mesón de María, $75 per person including taxes for two nights at the Posada Santiago Hotel, and $61 per person without taxes for one night at the San Gregario Hotel & Spa, and you're already spending $772. You would also have to pay $45 per person for a taxi from Antigua to Lake Atitlán, and $60 per person for a taxi from Lake Atitlán to Guatemala City, making your total $877.
