Prime Dublin hotel brought to market for €17.5m

The Dawson Hotel on 35/36 Dawson Street in Dublin has been placed up for sale inviting offers from €17.5m (£15.3m).

The Dawson Hotel is a distinguished heritage property on one of Dublin’s “trendiest and most vibrant streets”. The property also has potential to refurbish the 36 bedrooms (currently closed) to provide an upper upscale and luxury offering with high-end food and beverage outlets.

The property also has options for 44 bedrooms or 62 bedrooms subject to planning permission.

In addition, it has food and beverage facilities of approximately 972 sqm situated on the ground floor with two separate outlets. The Dawson was previously home to ‘La Stampa’ restaurant and Sam’s bar.

Alexandra Sheeran, associate director CBRE Ireland, who is handling the sale, said: “The sale of The Dawson Hotel offers both Irish and International investors an exclusive and high-profile property on one of Dublin’s trendiest and most vibrant streets. The asset is unbranded, providing operational flexibility for parties. There is also scope to almost double the existing room count, subject to securing planning permission.”
