Dreamscape announces opening of The Palmetto

US: New York-based real estate development and investment firm, Dreamscape Companies, has announced its boutique hotel in Charleston, The Palmetto, will open in March 2023.

Located in the French Quarter of Charleston in South Carolina, The Palmetto marks Dreamscape’s first project in the southern states of the US.

The Palmetto will feature 45 rooms and suites along with a lobby bar serving cocktails and a locally sourced light bight menu. A neighbouring fine dining restaurant, Slightly North of Broad, is slated to partner with the hotel upon opening.

Scott Broder, president of hospitality at Dreamscape, said: “The Palmetto is a truly special property in Charleston that we hope will be a local institution for many years to come. We expect its effortless style, prime location, and impeccable service to resonate with Charleston locals and tourists alike.”

Dreamscape is led by founder and CEO Eric Birnbaum. The team has collectively deployed over $35 billion in capital across residential, retail, hospitality, entertainment and gaming.

Hotel properties which Dreamscape has been involved with include The Pod Hotel (New York), The Goodtime Hotel (South Beach, Miami), and The Rio All-Suites Hotel (Las Vegas). The company currently has assets in Phoenix, Nashville, New Orleans, and Charleston.
